It’s not just inflation and recession. It’s the open border, the millions of people pouring into the US, demanding that only certain states bear the brunt of it, while insisting it isn’t happening, it’s the focus on sex in elementary schools (any kind of sex), it’s the inability to decide whether the pandemic is over or not. It’s making people who paid their own higher education loans back pay for others’ loans. It’s making people who didn’t go to college pay the loans of those who did. It’s the constant racial demagoguery, dividing people into grievance groups. Telling children they are either oppressed or oppressors. Its hiring 87,000 more IRS agents to harass hard working people. Insisting that everyone agree that men can magically become women and that our teenage daughters must use restrooms and locker rooms with people who are not female. It’s all of it.

Not just in America, Rightwing Parties are gaining popularity in Europe. I asked my Austrian uncle why, after voting for the Socialist Party SPÖ his whole life, at age 70 he suddenly voted for the Rightwing FPÖ. He was sick of the cronyism and bloated welfare state, sick of the broken promises, sick of the ever increasing taxes to fund a growing bureaucracy, and a lack of incentives for young people to work longer or harder. In Austria, Italy, France and Greece 15% of GDP goes toward paying very generous pensions (social security). In the UK and US it’s 7%.
